Data Backup - Get Started
Let's Get Started with Backing up your Data
Getting started with your Remote Data Backup is easy; all you
have to do is let us know how techie you are!
If
you are moderately familiar with your computer system and how
it works, you may want to tackle the installation and configuration
fo the RBS (Remote Backup Service) software on your own. We provide
you with step-by-step instructions and you can always ask for
help if you get into a pinch. Give this a try, you have nothing
to lose!
But, never fear for those of you who don’t know the difference
between a floppy drive and a hard drive, we will help you through
the process. Our step-by-step instructions, along with a technician
going through the process with you ensures that all you need to
know is where your computer is at.

When you compare our prices to others, you find that the more
data you backup, the less it costs per
megabyte. As an example, let's take the typical customer who has
approximately 5 gig of data to backup per month: Novastor charges
$189.25 while we only charge $134.95 - a savings of over $50.00!
(as of July 2004) They
charge based on space stored on their servers, we charge based
on monthly transfer of compressed data* - so
if you have 2 months worth of data stored on our data servers,
you still are only charged for what you backed up that month,
not what is already on the server!
*Compressed data transferred
monthly to our data server systems, which includes not only files
backed up but also files restored. While various files compress
at different rates, expect an overall compression level of approximately
50%.
There is no charge for the backup software, installation and
configuration, technical support or data purges. If you require
an Open File Manager a one-time licensing fee will be incurred.
We have structured our remote backup pricing
to fit every size business.
You decide how often and how much to backup. Simply chose the
package the best fits your needs. If you decide to change your
program, simply contact us.
